15 Month Check-Up & Phrases
This is about Carrigan, but I want to first tell about Gavin's weight check because I am so pleased with it! He is 24.4 lbs! He is exactly 1 lb heavier than he was in August. That is reason to dance and sing in this house!! Oh - and the Dr said his knowledge of letters and numbers is exceptional for a child his age, especially a boy!
Now onto Carrigan. She is perfect as usual!
Weight: 23.75 lbs - 35th percentile
Length: 32 in - 75th percentile (Gavin was 33 1/2 in at 22 months)
Head Circumference: 18 in - 50th percentile
She takes one long nap a day.
She is an adventurous eater.
At nap time and bedtime we lay her in her bed and she puts herself to sleep without any crying. She generally sleeps through the night.

Carrigan has turned into a little parrot. She repeats everything Gavin says! Here are some of her phrases:
ByeBye Momma Car
More Chocolate Cereal (moh CohCoh RoRo)
Yay Bubba PeePee!
Baby Night Night
Apple Juice (appa wawa) - yes, she calls it apple water!
Spongebob (bunbob)
Max & Ruby (Mah Buby)
Says "Cheese" to the camera
Tickle Tickle (Tick Tick Tick)
Every morning as Levi leaves for work: Byebye Dada, Love you!
A Carrigan mess - said when she drops something on the floor
Oh man! (ah mam!)
Dora Back (doha bah) said when Dora goes to commercial
Night Night Bubba - said to Gavin most nights before bed
Momma Booboo - said after she bites me, then goes to kiss it
Look, Momma! (Goo, Momma)
I'm Sorry (I wahwah)
She is SUCH a talker!!

Gavin's 1st real drawing
With all the snow we have been getting lately, Gavin asks me to draw him a snowman every time we get out the doodle board, which is at least once a day. A few days ago, he drew one on his own! You can see the two eyes and the 3 circles. The bottom figure is the snowman's hat. I'm not saying my child is advanced or anything, but he IS only 2 1/2!!
Several times a day Carrigan comes up to me pulling on her clothes asking for her "DihDih Off." (diaper off) She would happily run around naked all day if I let her. She recently learned how to get half the job done herself. She learned she could do this while the cable guy was at our house and thought it was HILARIOUS that he thought she was funny. *sigh* My child!!!!Of course big brother can't be outdone, so he tried it too!And just because I think it's cute when they do this. =)

It's good to be home
Last December after Levi graduated, we moved in with my mom for what we thought was going to be a 2-3 week stay while Levi looked for a job. Well, with this economy & insane student loan payments, we ended up staying for a year. It was either that, or I get a job and put my babies in daycare. That was NOT (and never will be or of course is anything wrong with mothers who do!) an option, so my gracious mother allowed us to stay. Last weekend we FINALLY moved out! We are all insanely happy to have our own house again. As you can see, the kiddos have adjusted very well!
Spaghetti was on the menu for lunch today, so it was a perfect time to see how the kitchen sink could handle these two! After the bath, Gavin was ready for a nap and immersed in Dora. Carrigan took full advantage! Ah to be a little sister. :) I love the look on his face in this one. "Mom, you see what she's doing, right?" Dora's over. NOW we can play! In this picture, Carrigan is trying to pull up the back of Gavin's shirts. If someone is laying on their stomach, she will lift up their shirt and give a zerbert!
