18 Months

Every stage with you is so much fun! I fall in love with you over and over again each time I see you try something new. I could list a hundred favorite moments from just the past 2 days.
You put on your cowboy hat when Barney sang "A Silly Hat" NaNa was mopping the floor, so you found the broom and swept. The way you repeat, "No No" The smile on your face when you got to talk to Daddy on the phone.... I could go on and on!

Your Daddy and I are SO PROUD to be your parents! We think the world of you, Bubbas. You are your Daddy's best friend and your Mommy's sweetie. You have been amazing since the day you were born.

Just look at how strong you were at only 2 months! Your Daddy isn't touching you. You are all on your own!

We love living our lives with you. We miss you when we are not with you and we are so thankful you are ours to keep! Happy 18 months my love!

3 Months Old

Hi baby girl. Good Morning! -- These are the words you hear Mommy say to you every morning. The first thing you give me each morning is your beautiful smile. I love waking up to you and keeping you close all throughout the day.

Miss Carrigan Bailee, you were a perfect gift from God. From the moment your Daddy and I found out we were pregnant with you, we wondered why God was giving us another baby so soon. We doubted that we were ready for you. Why now? It seemed like such bad timing!

Ever since that wonderful moment that I saw your face, I knew why you were here. Your presence as taught me faith. ABSOLUTE FAITH. God has a plan for us and who are we to question Him? You and your brother are the biggest blessings we could ever ask for. We have gone from asking Why now? to Why us??? How do we deserve you!?! Every single day I thank God for the two of you and am still in awe that God would trust us with both a boy and a girl!

Carrigan we LOVE you and enjoy every moment watching you grow.

Sister and her Bubbas

It took one person to take the picture, one to read a book, and another to watch Gavin's every move. Phew!!

Gavin has adjusted very well to his sister. It is rare that he hits or throws something at her. He likes to give her hugs and kisses and even finds it fun to give her high five. A funny thing he does is peal open her fingers from a fist and say "All Gone!" Gavin will try to offer her food and if he spots anything pink on the floor, he hands it to her. I can't wait for the day they interact and giggle with each other!

Carrigan laughed her first laugh the other day and I thought my heart was going to melt! I am not sure what it was that I was doing that was so funny, but I am glad Mommy got the first laugh from her baby girl!

2 month check-up

Even though Carrigan will be 3 months in 9 days, she had her 2 month check-up yesterday. We had to wait until she was completely over her cold to get her next round of shots.

The doctor was very impressed with our little girl's head control! She amazes us when she does tummy time. She doesn't mind it at all and holds her head completely up.
At 2 months she can hold her own in a conversation. I have never heard a baby babble so much at this young of age!!
She also smiles at anyone and everyone, especially her brother. No matter what else is going on around her, if she can find her brother, she will.
Carrigan still won't take a paci, but will let me swaddle her at night.

2 month stats:
Weight: 13.10 lbs - 90th percentile!!!
Length: 23 3/4 -70th percentile
Head Circumference: - 50th percentile

Okay, so I just may be obsessed with taking Carrigan's picture. It also may be that I miss being able to sit Gavin down and take his. Either way, I love her face and can't stop staring at her! Here are just a few for you to enjoy from her little "photo shoot" from the other day.

( oh.. and I'm not forgetting about Gavin. There will be a long, sappy post when he turns 18 months)

And so I won't forget... At her appointment on 12-30-08 she weighed in at 13.03 lbs. This picture cracks me up. Do I have a little miss snoody pants on my hands?? :) Grandma, don't you think I would look just darling in a 1920's Crochet Flapper Cloche ?? *hint hint*

Christmas Pictures... Finally!

Yesterday Levi asked me if I was EVER going to do a Christmas post, so I thought I'd better!
... Yes Levi follows everyone's blog just as much as I do, whether he knows them or not. It has become one of Levi's guilty pleasures. Sorry for telling, but I think it's cute!

Christmas Eve I was giddy about the next morning. After Gavin went to bed, I stayed up wrapping all the Christmas presents and making sure everything was perfect for the next morning. My mom, Levi and I all stayed up until nearly 3 a.m.!

Gavin and Carrigan both caught a cold a few days before Christmas so neither one was up for excitement. Carrigan slept for all but a few minutes of the day (she still has a cold and is on an antibiotic) and Gavin was begging to go back to bed not long after he woke up. Poor Gavin was also teething two very large molars. So far he has been teething on his Birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! He can't catch a break!

Nonetheless, it was still my favorite Christmas to date!

Santa loved the cookies Madi left for him! Gavin loves his Wubbzy and Elmo!Gavin LOVED NaNa's Christmas breakfast and lunch! I had never seen him each so much ham!
