We got the call from Children's Hospital today saying the biopsies and blood work came back clear! His antibodies were slightly low, but nothing to be concerned about. They recommended we keep seeing his eating specialist and let them know if anything else comes up. And best of all, NO MORE MEDICINE!!! He has been on different medicines since he was 3 weeks old and I have hated every last one.
I had no doubts that the results would come back clear. A couple of months ago, things turned around. He started eating table foods, we didn't notice pain from acid coming into his throat, and he almost completely stopped gagging and throwing up. Even before his EGD, I kept getting asked by every doctor and nurse who came in the room if I had any questions. I had quite a few, but then Levi finally asked the GI one question. He asked, "When will we know the results?" The results hadn't been on my mind! I was worried about him at that present time and wanting to see him happy and healthy (and ALIVE) I just knew nothing was wrong. Not anymore at least. God healed him and I am so thankful!
That morning we did learn that Gavin had lost a pound. That was very disappointing. He is down to 18.8 lbs. Even though he is eating table foods, it isn't near enough to equal a meal. I have been giving him the same amount of baby food, but on a good day he still takes in at least 6 ounces less than the doctor would like of milk. For example today he has only had about 12 oz. His doctor wants at least 24 oz.
Now we just need to get his weight up, find out what to do about his inverted ear drum, and he will be perfect! His next appointment is on the 25th. Lets pray he has gained his weight back!
And in baby news, at my appointment on Wednesday, my doctor took it upon herself to dilate me to a 1. She failed to mention she was doing this and I asked my husband if he could hear me yelling for her to STOP all the way in the waiting room! IT HURT!!!! All else is well and she isn't worried about this being a big baby. I am measuring 37 weeks at 38 weeks, so hopefully baby will stay nice and skinny like big brother Gavin for Mommy! After that, I am hoping to have a rolly polly baby this time around. :)
Oh, and Levi accidentally spilled the beans about the sex of the baby at lunch that day. He didn't realize he had done it until he saw the look on our faces and heard me yell, Way To Go Levi!!!! ha... Oh well, they won't have to keep it a secret for too much longer! My next appointment is on the 22nd. Lets see if I make it until then!

That's great!!!!!! I'm so happy!!! What a relief it must be! I'm sure his eating will continue to get better and better! Wow, I can't believe you're so close to having the baby! I'll be praying for you and we're thinking of you all. We're so excited to welcome another nephew or niece in the family! Can't wait!
